Noragami Watch Order
Noragami spans 2 TV seasons and 4 OADs: the 12-episode 2014 series, the 13-episode Noragami Aragoto (2015), two 2014 OADs that are secretly set mid-Aragoto, and two Aragoto OADs (2015-2016), one of which is the canon epilogue. Watch the seasons in release order and save Aragoto OAD 2 for last; no season 3 exists or has been announced.

Why this order?
For the TV seasons, release order is story order and there is nothing to optimize: Noragami (2014, 12 episodes, Bones) into Noragami Aragoto (2015, 13 episodes), a direct continuation. The one thing that trips newcomers is season 1's ending. Episodes 10 to 12 are the anime-original Rabo arc: Rabo does not exist in the manga, and Aragoto opens as if that arc's stakes never happened. That is not a continuity error, it is a deliberate return to the manga line, and MAL undercounts the situation by flagging only episode 12 as filler when the whole 10 to 12 stretch is anime-only.
The real decision on this page is OVA placement. The two 2014 Noragami OADs look like post-season-1 extras because of their release dates, but they adapt manga side stories set after the Bishamon reconciliation, which puts them chronologically in the middle of Aragoto. OAD 2 casually shows Yato and Bishamon drinking together, which spoils the outcome of Aragoto's first arc if you watch it between seasons. The spoiler-safe slot is after Aragoto episode 6, or simply after Aragoto entirely.
The two Aragoto OADs are not equally skippable, and treating "the OVAs" as one optional blob is how people miss the actual ending. OAD 1 is a ski-trip whodunit comedy sourced from the Noragami Shuuishuu spinoff: fun, skippable. OAD 2, A Picture Together, adapts main-manga chapter 41 and is the canon epilogue set after Aragoto's finale, the franchise's true final animated scene. Watch it last, never skip it.
Finally, the season 3 question. The viral March 31, 2025 post claiming Noragami Season 3 was coming in 2028 from "Studio: BONES FILM" was a fabrication with no official source, and nothing has been announced by Bones, Kodansha, or Crunchyroll since. The manga concluded on January 6, 2024 at chapter 109 (volume 27), so the story is finished on paper: the anime ends around chapter 38 to 39, and the common advice is to pick the manga up from around chapter 32 to catch what the adaptation compressed.

Frequently asked questions
How many Noragami seasons and OVAs are there?
Two TV seasons and four OADs: the 2014 series (12 episodes), Noragami Aragoto (2015, 13 episodes), two 2014 OADs bundled with limited editions of manga volumes 10 and 11, and two Aragoto OADs (2015-2016) bundled with volumes 15 and 16, for 25 TV episodes plus 4 specials in total.
What order should I watch Noragami in?
Release order works: Noragami (2014), then Noragami Aragoto (2015), with Aragoto OAD 2 always last. The spoiler-optimal path moves the two 2014 OADs to after Aragoto episode 6, because they are set after the Bishamon reconciliation and spoil that arc's outcome if watched between seasons.
Is Noragami season 1's ending filler?
Episodes 10-12 are the anime-original Rabo arc: Rabo does not exist in the manga, and MAL flags only episode 12 as filler even though the whole stretch is anime-only. Aragoto silently returns to the manga line, which is a deliberate choice by the adaptation, not a plot hole.
Can I skip the Noragami OVAs?
Not all of them. The two 2014 OADs and Aragoto OAD 1 are optional side stories, but Aragoto OAD 2, A Picture Together, adapts manga chapter 41 and is the canon epilogue: skipping the OVAs as one blob means missing the franchise's actual final scene.
Will there be a Noragami season 3?
No season 3 has been announced. The viral March 31, 2025 post claiming a 2028 season from "BONES FILM" was a fabrication with no official source, and no announcement from Bones, Kodansha, or Crunchyroll exists. The manga concluded on January 6, 2024, so any future continuation would be adapting a finished story.
Where does the Noragami anime leave off in the manga?
Aragoto ends around chapter 38-39 (roughly volume 10) with some details compressed, and OAD 2 adapts chapter 41, so the common advice is to back up and continue from around chapter 32, the start of that arc, or reread from volume 1. The manga is complete at chapter 109 in 27 volumes.
Where can I stream Noragami?
As of mid-2026, both seasons stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu in the US, restored on May 6, 2026 after the series was quietly delisted from major streamers for much of 2025. Availability shifts, so check JustWatch; the four OADs have never streamed officially and live on the Blu-ray sets.
