Why this order?

My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru) is one of the most refreshingly simple watch orders in anime. There are only two seasons, they were animated by the same studio, CloverWorks, and the story moves in a straight line. Start with Season 1 from 2022, finish with Season 2 from 2025, and you have seen everything. There are no movies, no spin-offs, no recap films and no out-of-order specials to worry about.

The single "watch order" we list is therefore both the release order and the chronological order at once. Season 1 introduces gloomy hina-doll craftsman Wakana Gojo and bright, fashion-obsessed classmate Marin Kitagawa, whose request to be turned into a cosplay project pulls the two of them together. Because the second season continues the same arc rather than rebooting it, watching Season 1 first is not optional: jumping straight into Season 2 will spoil the relationship beats and leave the cast unexplained.

The series is widely known by its English title "My Dress-Up Darling," but plenty of sites, subs and merchandise use the Japanese title "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru." They are the same show, so do not go hunting for a separate series. The official continuous-numbering also means Season 2 is sometimes labelled as a direct continuation rather than "Part 2."
