Why this order?

Hellraiser looks like an eleven-film commitment and is really a four-film story with a long appendix and a fresh front door.

The story that matters runs through the first four: Hellraiser (1987), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Hell on Earth (1992) and Bloodline (1996), which traces the puzzle box from its 18th-century creation to its far-future end. Watch those in release order; each builds on the one before, and Bloodline was the last to reach cinemas.

Then the franchise changes shape. Inferno (2000) through Judgment (2018) are six direct-to-video films, and several began life as unrelated horror scripts that had Pinhead written into them. They share iconography rather than continuity: you can watch any of them alone, skip all of them, or cherry-pick, and nothing in the first four is spoiled or required. Inferno and Hellseeker are the ones with the strongest reputations of the six; Revelations exists mainly because the studio needed to retain the rights.
